This year, I decided to try my at something that will push my limits as a writer: a New Year’s Writing Challenge. The idea? To write a unique piece of fiction (or non) every day, exploring a different genre and setting each time.
Why a Writing Challenge?
Because I think it will be fun. And it forces me to write.
How It Works
Every day, I spin a digital wheel filled with genres and settings. The combination it lands on becomes the foundation for that day’s story.
For example, Day 1 brought me a noir thriller set in a dystopian city. Inspired by the prompt, I created a gripping tale of a gambling addict whose luck seems to run out—or does it?
